His main research direction is biomaterials-based regenerative medicine research. Based on COVID-19, cardiovascular disease and cancer and other major diseases that seriously harm human health, a variety of functional biomaterials have been designed around the development of biomaterials and their clinical application, providing basic research data for the final realization of clinical transformation. To date, more than 90 high-level SCI academic papers have been published. Among them, 30 papers from the first and corresponding author in the past five years, Related representative work was published in the Nature Nanotechnology, Science Advances, Nature Biomedical Engineering, Nature Communications, Accounts of Chemical Research, Advanced Functional Materials, ACS Nano, Nano Letters and Biomaterials. The article has been cited more than 4700 times, and the H index is 41. He was invited to be the reviewer of Advanced Materials, Biomaterials, Bioactive Materials, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Chemical Engineering Journal and other well-known journals of biomaterials. He serves as the visiting deputy editor of Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine periodicals and the youth editorial board of Chinese Chemical Letters and Exploration. He has applied for 8 national invention patents, as the project leader, presided over 2 national Natural Science Foundation of China, key projects of Guangdong-Dongguan Joint Fund and provincial Provincial Nature Foundation projects. He is a youth member of Nanobiology Branch of Chinese Society of Biophysics.
